When To Tinker With Running Gait

Reconciling technical models/emergent patterning and idiosyncratic behavior/”self-organization” is one of the greatest challenges for coaches and movement professionals. In other words, it’s often difficult to determine if tinkering with how an athlete executes a task like running will positively alter output, performance, and/or health. Knowing when to do so, however, can be paramount to coaching and rehabilitation success.
