Maj. Allison Brager is a U.S. Army soldier and neuroscientist. Her research includes studying survival in extreme environments, under sleep deprivation and stress, and why some individuals are resilient and others vulnerable under such conditions. In the Army, she builds a “team of teams” providing cutting-edge technologies, knowledge products, and solutions for fatigue management on the battlefield. She is the author of Meathead: Unraveling the Athletic Brain, a popular science book. Allison also enjoys athletics. She is a two-time CrossFit Games and regional competitor and has competed internationally in track and field as a pole vaulter.
